Instructions to Presenters

Presentation Timing
Each presentation will be allotted 20 minutes: 15 minutes for the presentation and 5 minutes for discussion.

Audio-visual

Each lecture room will be equipped with a projector and a computer (equipped with DVD/CD reader and USB port) supporting Office 2007 as well as PowerPoint 2003 for backward compatibility.  In order to respect the time allotted to each presenter in your session, it is mandatory to use the computer we will provide and to bring your presentation uploaded on either a USB memory stick or CD-ROM.  Please note that we won’t be able to accommodate Mac format presentations. 

 

You will need to see the audio-visual technician to upload and test your presentation on the computer in your assigned room between 8:00 and 8:45 the day of your presentation (for presentations that will take place in the morning) or between 12:45 and 13:15 (for  presentations that will take place in the afternoon).  All speakers should report to their session chair at least 15 minutes before the beginning of the session in which their talk is scheduled.

 

It is critical that all presentations are pre-loaded and tested in advance on the computer that will be the used at the event in order to keep the event running smoothly and to ensure that there are no program issues, additions or changes to computer programs or files or other logistical issues that could negatively affect your presentation and those of your colleagues.
