21st International Conference on Port and Ocean Engineering under Arctic ConditionsPOAC conferences address the unique issues related to coastal and offshore engineering in ice-covered waters. The objective of each conference is to improve knowledge of ice-related problems by having scientists, technologists, and design and development engineers discuss and exchange ideas on relevant topics. POAC'11 had 265 registered participants from 18 different countries (Canada, China, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Kazakhstan, Korea, Norway, Russia, Singapore, South Korea, Sweden, The Netherlands, UK, and USA).
