21st International Conference on Port and Ocean Engineering under Arctic Conditions

POAC conferences address the unique issues related to coastal and offshore engineering in ice-covered waters. The objective of each conference is to improve knowledge of ice-related problems by having scientists, technologists, and design and development engineers discuss and exchange ideas on relevant topics.

POAC'11 had 265 registered participants from 18 different countries (Canada, China, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Kazakhstan, Korea, Norway, Russia, Singapore, South Korea, Sweden, The Netherlands, UK, and USA). This includes 23 students and 25 accompanying persons.

Venue

The Omni Hotel (formerly a Four Seasons) is a four star and four diamond hotel and is located in the centre of downtown Montreal close to shops, entertainment, fine dining and chic nightlife. The hotel offers excellent meeting space under one roof in a newly renovated, centrally located property and offers state-of-the-art technical services. Delegates will be impressed by what the hotel offers.

Official Language

The official language of the Technical Programme is English. There will be no simultaneous translation during the Conference. Support services will be available in both English and French.
